Mashété Safaris is a
family-owned company, founded in 1992 by the owner, Johann van den Berg. He
was born and bred in Namibia, where he grew to love and cherish nature and
animals in all their facets. He completed his schooling in a little town
called Tsumeb in 1970 and thereafter two years of military training. From
here he went to South Africa to study Pharmacy in Potschefstroom near
Johannesburg. Here he met his wife, Imke, who also studied pharmacy. After
running their own pharmacy in Bloemfontein for 20 years, his love for
hunting caused him to make his passion his profession. By then his two
daughters Leane and Nadia had also finished their studies and the whole
family joined in to create Mashété Safaris and offer the ultimate safari
experience, where guests become part of the family.
We specialize in game- and birdhunting, touring and fishing safaris in
Namibia, South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe.
Our headquarters is in Namibia on our farm Hillendale near the town Outjo on
the road to Etosha National Park. From here we co-ordinate our custom-made
safaris - a unique hunting experience and unforgettable African holiday.
