Dreams come true in the wonderful waters of Africa: from mighty blue, black and striped marlin to wilt rainbow and brown trout, Africa has it all: Broadbill swordfish, Atlantic sailfish, barracuda, all the tunas, king mackerel, sharks, kingfish and dorado abound in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

The Atlantic Ocean on South Africa’s west coast is home to a sizable line fish fleet and supports a wide variety of bottom feeding as well as pelagic species- the strikingly hued Yellowtail is also abundant in summer and autumn. Namibia attracts thousands of anglers each year. The major fishing regions stretch from Walvisbay in the north to Swakopmund, some 19 miles north. Species include cob, streenbras, blacktail and galjoen. Freshwater fishing in the famous Bloemhof Dam, during summer months, will also prove to be an interesting experience. Add some relaxation to your safari by including a few days’ angling.
