From the scorched moonscape of the Fish
River Canyon in the south, to the lush waterways of the Kunene, Kavango and
Kwando rivers in the north, Namibia is an extraordinarily beautiful and varied
land. With the oldest desert on earth and the treacherous Skeleton Coast,
Namibia still manages to sustain an incredible variety of living things, in
terrain that is as striking as it is desolate. In the south the ashen landscape
tilts gently upward from the scarred canyon of the Fish River to reveal vast
gravel plains stretching to the horizon. Namibia boasts’ with some of
the highest dunes in the world and one of the world’s richest collections
of rock art. In the north Namibia’s wildlife showpiece, “Etosha
National Park”, is home to 114 mammal species and tens of thousands
of antelope. All this is the mystery of a spectacular land that belongs to
the 21st century, but still lies in the ancient sands of the past.
Here we also cater for smaller tour groups - friends and family – and
we can also combine the hunt with a tour in an interesting package. We will
create a program to suite all wishes!
ZIMBABWE & BOTSWANA:
We normally combine Zimbabwe and Botswana and also include 2-3 days of camping in tents in the Chobe- and Moremi Parks in Botswana. With the majestic Vic Falls in Zimbabwe and the Chobe Wildlife Park in Botswana, we can offer an unforgettable holiday experience. These are done in a minimum of 2 fully equipped 4x4 vehicles – truly spectacular!
ZIMBABWE:
The Africa that most travelers envisage is all around:
in the kopje-studded landscape; in face-to-face encounters with ‘big
five’; and in the spray of the ‘Smoke that thunders’, Victoria
Falls. Much of Zimbabwe’s natural vegetation is comprised of msasa and
mopane woodland, but the drier parts of the country also nurture a variety
of aloes, as well as euphorbias, cycads and palms.
BOTSWANA:
With an area for 582,000 sq km, landlocked Botswana
extends 1100km from north to south and 960km from east to west, making it
about the same size as Kenya or France. Enjoy an off-road trip through these
vast open savannas with free-ranging wildlife. Highlights on this tour are
definitely the Okavango Delta and Moremi Wildlife Reserve; Chobe National
Park and the Makgadikgadi & Nxai Pan National Park.
